For Melanie and her husband Paul, building their family home was a dream come true. At the top of their wish list was both a BEAM Central Vacuum System and Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery System.
The couple installed a BEAM Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery System (MVHR) which compliments the
BEAM Central Vacuum System to provide clean indoor air for life.
Melanie created an Instagram account @home.at.number39 to document life decorating and furnishing the home and is a source of interior inspiration for over 8,500 followers across Ireland and UK.
One year on, the family are well settled into life in their forever home and enjoying the benefits of the BEAM Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery System.
Melanie commented:
“We wanted to pair the BEAM Vacuum with the Heat Recovery Ventilation System to provide fresh, filtered air into the home at all times of the day. Our son suffers with some allergies and so this was a major benefit for us.”
Clean Indoor Air with BEAM
Read our blog Central Vacuum System & Heat Recovery Ventilation – The perfect combination for clean indoor air and good health to learn all about how these systems work well together within the home.
Both systems installed provide measurable relief for asthma and allergy sufferers. The Beam Vacuum System removes all dust and debris within the home to the central unit, so there’s no recirculated dusty air in the home The Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery System removes the stale air within the home and replaces it with fresh filtered air from outside with help from the F7 Pollen filters which remove pollutants and insects which would otherwise enter the home via open window or trickle vents.
“We have supply and extract ventilation valves throughout the home which are discretely located in the ceilings. They get rid of all steam and condensation from the bathrooms and kitchen, so we never have to open the windows. There is no noise from them – they simply work away 24 hours a day.”
In the kitchen and bathrooms, the extract ventilation valves are designed to extract moist, stale air. This air is replaced with fresh filtered air coming into the home through the supply valves. This air has passed through the heat exchanger within the ventilation unit and recovers up to 95% of heat which would otherwise be lost if the house had had trickle vents on the windows and conventional extractor fans in the bathrooms.
